I never know what to say on these sorts of pages. It seems incredibly self-indulgent and narcissistic to write a page about oneself, doesn’t it? But when I stumble on a sweet new blog, I always head straight for the About Me page to learn a little more about the face behind the words, and I nearly always enjoy what I find. So I’ll assume that you, dear reader, might also enjoy getting the inside scoop – and if not, feel free to click away from this page!
So. Me. I’m Kelly. I currently live in Madison, Wisconsin, although I’m a born & bred Rhode Islander. (No, not Long Island. Rhode Island. Yep, the smallest state. Yes, it’s near Massachusetts. Got it?) I went to the most amazing college ever, located in Northfield, Minnesota. I’ve never lived in a big city. I like small dogs and books and silly puns, and I love mangos. I am incredibly lucky to have a great job in Madison and truly wonderful friends and family spread throughout the country, from California to Texas to the Ocean State. Wanderlust keeps me traveling, and I love visiting new countries. I get bored if I don’t have some sort of creative outlet in my life. My perfect temperature is about 87˚ Fahrenheit. I enjoy humidity; it feels like I’m being enveloped in a warm hug. I hate being cold, but I seem to always move to places with everlasting winters and subzero temperatures.
My favorite punctuation mark is the semicolon. I will support the Oxford comma until the day I die. Comma splices make me ill.
I’m silly and irreverent and I worry too much.
I’m also vegan, because I can’t look at an animal without seeing a life worth preserving.

You have a great layout. Keep posting!
Hey girl, thanks for the comment on my blog! Reding this page was like reading my own story, because I totally double majored in English and Art History in college! I had to bust my butt the last year and a half because that was when I decided I loved Art History, ha ha.
I never wanted to be a teacher either! That used to annoy me when people assumed that’s what I’d be doing after college. I graduated 5 years ago this December and I’m still not sure that I have a “plan” but I’m getting closer to finding out what is going to work for me. Anyway, I enjoyed reading and I’ll definitely be back
Haha, Minnesota IS corny…
<3 Madison! Yay for awesomely brave post-college life decisions!
Are you me?!
Hah, I found your blog through CCK and, honestly, it sort of freaks me out how similar your story is to mine! I’m definitely bookmarking your page
I have a friend who lives in Madison and coordinates a vegetarian meet-up group, and the food is always vegan. He really plans a lot of social gatherings and they go to restaurants, have picnics, camping, etc. If you’d like more information on it, I’d be happy to send it your way.
love reading your blog. grammy
